“The Boys” is one of the hottest shows on TV. The Amazon superhero series has captured the attention of fans in the past. However, “The Boys” Season 3, Episode 4 really had fans talking thanks to Jensen Ackles, formerly of “Supernatural.”
During the brand new episode of the show, Ackles’ character Soldier Boy is seen in all of his glory as he’s rescued from a hidden chamber by Butcher, Hughie, and the gang. When Soldier Boy emerges from his chamber, he’s not clothed and his backside is fully exposed.
To be fair, a lot of other things happened during the episode, such as Kimiko being seriously wounded, Hughie getting hopped up on V with Butcher, a killer hamster, and Homelander doing a lot of Homelander-like things. However, all buzz circled around Ackles and Soldier Boy.

Of course, fans couldn’t help but speak out about Ackles’ revealing performance in the episode. “Awakening of #SoldierBoy was epic. Jensen Ackles showing up big and bulky, broody, dark and Gorgeous,” one fan tweeted.
“I really enjoyed this ep and the ending really kept me on edge, @jensenackles was amazing as always ofc. I hope the next episodes are going to focus more on soldier boy‘s development and his dynamic between each groups because i think it’ll be so cool to see,” another person commented.
Technical difficulties delayed the episode from streaming for many fans
“The Boys” Season 3, Episode 4, which was titled “Glorious Five Year Plan” was scheduled to premiere at midnight GMT on June 10, or 5 pm PST and 8 pm EST on June 9 for viewers in the United States. However, that wasn’t the case this week. Many fans logged on to Amazon Prime in hopes of watching the latest episodes of the series, however the episode was nowhere to be found. The absence of the episode had some viewers all riled up and they even contacted Amazon to figure out what was going on, per Parade.
Eventually, the episode did begin streaming and fans were disappointed with all the action, or Jensen Ackles’ parts. The situation had the show’s creator Eric Kripke joking about the technical issues via Twitter. “Update: it should be up now!” Kripkie told fans of “The Boys” who were patiently waiting for the episode to drop. “If it isn’t for you, stay in line, it should be soon. Let’s always remember the night Jensen Ackles’ a– broke Amazon,” he added.
Following Season 3, Episode 4, “The Boys” was renewed for Season 4, and fans couldn’t be happier.
